Taking Stock this Week

This Wednesday has definitely been a bit calmer than usual--this whole has been, actually. Here's a quick look at how it's going:

Cooking: We had a bbq tonight, where we grilled burgers and zucchini and had a tomato salad with tomatoes from the garden. (Uh, not my garden, let's be clear on that...)

Drinking: I had this really good chamomile iced tea this afternoon

Reading: I'm back on My Antonia, but I just can't seem to get past the first couple of pages. I think a trip to the library is in order.

Making: Plans for the weekend

Wanting: To be back at the beach.

Looking: Forward to going to sleep. Hah, I'm so lame.

Wishing: That I could get my act together and actually finish the couple things I've been wanting to finish for awhile now--namely, a few photo books and my website

Enjoying: A relaxed week at home

Watching: Homeland. John and I watched a episodes the last two nights and it's just so good. We're still on the first season and I'm secretly so happy that we have like 3.5 seasons left to go, on Hulu at least.

Hoping: That the more things change, the more they stay the same

Wearing: The last of the summer clothes. It's the end of August and I'm starting to get the itch for sweaters and jeans and boots.

Knowing: Where my polling place is for November -- just got the notice in the mail today!

Thinking: About the future

Needing: A haircut, I think. Also to get a pedicure. And my eyebrows done. All the grooming problems.

Marveling: At Luca's current language skills. I do this alot, I know. But he's just repeating so much and communicating so much, that I just love it.

Loving: The smell of our wood-burning bbq. It's summer and freedom and happiness, all rolled into one.

Sorting: Through some old mail. Or rather, that's what I should be sorting.

Snacking: On this Trader Joe's Bollywood popcorn--it's tikka masala flavored and it's so good.

Bookmarking: Still not much. It's been a busy week at work and I haven't had much time for reading.

Feeling: Ready for bed
